Guardian Healthcare located in Brockway, PA, is hiring a Private Pay Revenue Specialist for our Central Billing Office Revenue Cycle team!
This is not a remote position; on-site attendance at our office in Brockway is required.
We provide billing services to each of our facilities for all payer type balances due including Medicare, Managed Care, Commercial, Medicaid, and Private Pay.

Position Summary: Private Pay Revenue Specialists are responsible for processing monthly billing and completing timely follow up of all billing to ensure maximum revenue collection for their assigned payer type. Revenue Specialists also complete weekly and monthly reports, review of information and other tasks to facilitate accurate billing and to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process monthly billing in accordance with established policies and procedures and within timely guidelines
- Conduct monthly reviews of all outstanding accounts receivable items for assigned facilities and complete timely follow up of all unpaid balances
- Extensive telephone communications with facility staff/insurance companies and/or coworkers and/or residents/responsible parties to obtain and relay information necessary for billing and/or payment
- Enter accurate and timely documentation of collection efforts into the billing software
- Meet revenue collection monthly goals to maintain maximum cash flow and reduce the risk of bad debt
- Read and decipher information as it is received from the facilities, insurance companies and/or other sources to ensure complete and accurate billing and follow up occurs in a timely manner
- Accurate and timely completion of assigned weekly and monthly reports and information verifications
- Maintain a professional, customer-oriented demeanor at all times
- Participate in training and other educational events as requested or directed by their Revenue Cycle Supervisor
- Maintain confidentiality of information in adherence to HIPAA guidelines
- All other duties as assigned.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language
- Ability to follow oral and written direction
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting
